Your First Visit
Establishing good oral health habits early in your child’s life is invaluable. This helps ensure that they are maintaining their teeth correctly as they grow, while also developing a positive attitude towards dentists and visits to a dental office.
In fact, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends that children have their first visit to the dentist by age one or around the time they get their first tooth.
If you are visiting us for the first time, you can expect your child to receive the following:
- A head and neck exam
- An examination of their teeth and gums
- Digital radiographs (x-rays), if necessary
- A professional dental cleaning and fluoride treatment
- Education about home care with a main focus on prevention
